The Test of English as a Foreign Language, or
TOEFL, is the absolute most widely accepted and respected test of English as a Spanish
on earth, and the absolute most comprehensive academic English test available.
1000s of colleges and universities, especially in the Pakistan, accept it as
part of their admissions criteria for international applicants for whom English
is just a second language.
TOEFL measures the capability of non-English
speakers to utilize and understand the English language since it is spoken,
heard, read and written within an academic setting. TOEFL is made for advanced
learners who need to prove their ability to operate within an English
environment. This English test can be employed by the us government agencies,
international companies, recruitment agencies, and other institutions. A TOEFL
score is usually used as among the criteria for awarding a scholarship.
TOEFL IBT measures how you read, speak, listen
and write in English, and how you integrate those together to be able to
perform academic tasks. The test is given in English. It contains four
sections: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
There's one ten minutes long break. The test
takes about four and a half hours. You are able to take notes, your notes is
going to be collected following the test.
TOEFL IBT is scored on a range of zero to at
least one hundred twenty points, with each element of the test getting a scaled
score. The scaled scores are then added together to find out the sum total
score. There's no passing score: each university or program establishes a
unique TOEFL score requirements.
